Historical Inauguration Day

On January 20th, 2009, President Elect Barack Obama, will be sworn into office. As I’m sure you have been hearing since the election even began, this will be one for the books. He will not only become the 44th President of the United States, but he will also become the FIRST black President. It has been nearly 139 years since the 15th Amendment was ratified (February 3, 1870), which prohibits each government in the United States to prevent a citizen from voting based on that citizen’s race, color or previous condition of servitude (i.e., slavery), and 54 years since the end of the Civil Rights Movement, which aimed at abolishing racial discrimination. Also, many in the blackberry community and possibly others know that Obama is fighting to keep his blackberry which is his way of finding out any news during the day. Obviously the Freedom of Information Act and the possibility of his device being hacked might cause some security issues.
