Windows 7

win7I am now running Windows 7!  I was considering the upgrade after hearing how Win7 is similar to Vista but runs quite a bit faster.  The major thing holding me back was the price tag.  At around $100 I wasn’t really sure if it was necessary especially since the main thing I needed was just a reformat.  After seeing an article on my blackberry at EveryJoe, I decided the upgrade was within my grasp.  The article states that you can get Win7 for a mere $30 (USD) if you are a student and probably professor too since you just need a school email.  I went to Microsoft and checked out this information to see if it was legit or not, since I just started following that blog.  Sure enough it is a legit offer.  After several hours of reformatting and copying files I had installed Win7 on my Dell.  I have to say I am very impressed with some of the features you may have seen.  This includes the split screen ability where you just drag an app to one side and one to the other to allow multi-tasking.  I would definitely suggest this upgrade to anybody that is sick of their current operating system and especially Vista users for the new features.
