Craigslisters Try Illegal and Unequal Deal

Apparently a couple 20-year-olds, Jacob Walker and Jacob Veldare, thought it would be a good idea to trade their 32GB iPod touch and a quarter ounce of marijuana for a 32GB iPad.  The iPad sells for $599 for just the Wi-Fi version or $729 for the 3G version, the iPod touch sells for $299, so unless the marijuana was worth at least $300 the trade wasn’t even a fair one.

Police received a tip of the ad and then posed as an interested craigslister.  Once they all met up and Walker offered the marijuana, both were arrested and now face charges for possession and the attempted sale of an illegal substance.  Below is the picture included in the craigslist ad.

Next time try thinking out these decisions before you take action.  I’m not really sure what kind of state-of-mind you have to be in to think there won’t be repercussions to posting this kind of ad.
